After a very peaceful night it was lovely to wake up to the sound of waves lapping on the beach.
It was the start of our island hopping today, first though there was 40 km of town road riding to do. This was mainly flat despite the dire hills predicted by the gps mapping app we use, it cannot seem to cope with tunnels.
We were woken at first light as the park area we camped in happens host a big outdoor event today and they had started to get ready for it. It was actually 7.40 am when we hit the road.
Our hotel breakfast was once again not to our taste, lots of rice and soups which are unnatural to eat for breakfast! Oh we are heathens sometimes!
Camping does have it’s benefits like porridge for breakfast, now we were all set up for a good days cycling.
One smokey night later we went down to our included breakfast, it did include coffee and tea, along with a Japanese breakfast of miso soup, rice, several cooked vegetables and mackerel. We only went for the fish which was nice.
As we had to be at the port by 5.00 pm to put our bicycles in a container (the ship leaves at 9.00 pm) we had a whole day to relax. So we shopped a little, I replaced a pair of socks which had just worn out and all of a sudden the day had gone.
