Sydney Day 182 Wednesday 3rd October

After an all you can eat type breakfast we rolled out of the hotel and back down to Darling Harbour where we caught a ferry to Circular Quay. This ferry passes under the Harbour Bridge.

From Circular Quay we took a short stroll up to Cumberland street, from here you can walk across the Harbour Bridge, the walkway gives some excellent views of the Opera House.

We then jumped on another ferry this one going to Manly Park, on it’s way passing the Opera House and the harbour entry (looking right out to sea). Here we were lucky enough time we two whales playing and doing massive breaches, look at the pictures closely.

Once back at Circular Quay it was time to go buy a few things, a new travel towel (mine has worn out after a number of years use) the main one. We did walk through the Queen Victoria Building, a magnificent shopping mall.

Tonight we ate Vietnamese just down from the hotel and mighty fine it was as well.

  1. Thanks for your Sydney updates. They’ve brought back happy memories of our visit earlier in the year.

You haven’t by any chance found my mobile phone?

    Where to next?

    • Yes Sydney is a fantastic city we really loved our stay there. We are going to visit Korea for a while next, flying to Seoul on the 12th. No sign of your elusive mobile, it will be out of date now though so it is best staying lost.

    • After Australia we wanted somewhere very cycle friendly, Korea has some of the longest cycle specific routes in the world. The 4 rivers cycle path is 650 km long Seoul to Busan then from Busan we have a ferry booked to Japan
